Thanks to the Old Pieces recital coming up, I’m now revisiting another piece. It’s encouraging to find how quickly it is coming back and how much easier it is than when I first learned it 6 years ago. Not a lot of time investment and high reward. Win/win.
Speaking of the Old Pieces recital, I found it reassuring to get back “into” an old piece and find it welcoming me back. An interesting thing about my many recordings: I finally chose one because there were no wrong notes but actually like the expressiveness of my several botched (& thus discarded) attempts. I plan to keep playing & keep listening!
